What to do at Carnival

The Carnival of Venice is the only event in the world where you are the protagonist: wear a costume or a simple mask on your face and enter the big party!

There are so many things to do and see, even just moving around the city. Even just stopping by St. Mark’s Square you can admire hundreds of people in costumes of all shapes and colors, classic or ironic: a unique show, and you will be part of it!

Do you want to live the atmosphere of the past and feel like a new Casanova? Get on board of a gondola and let yourself be transported to a timeless world. Along the Grand Canal, enjoy the festive shores while fairy-tale and elegant palaces parade before your eyes.

If, on the other hand, you don’t want to miss out on any of the secrets and history of the Carnival, all you have to do is follow the Codega, a masked actor who, acting on your arm, will drag you into the great spectacle of the city. Don’t you know the Codega? He was the bodyguard of the 18th century: he accompanied the nobles at night with a lantern in his hand and a knife ready for the occasion. For him Venice had no secrets!

Would you like to play? Nothing more exciting than a Treasure Hunt to venture into the streets and discover the most hidden corners of the city (without getting lost though!). Your well-deserved treasure is waiting for you in St. Mark’s Square, at the Prison Palace: a mask to be transformed into a personal masterpiece with the help of a Mastro Mascheraio, the memory of a wonderful moment that will be yours forever.
