“Designing sustainability, celebrating beauty”: this is the motto of this year’s Furniture Fair.
This important edition marking the 60th anniversary of the event had actually been postponed to allow exhibitors, visitors and the entire international furnishing and design community to better enjoy the event in total safety. The Salone del Mobile will take place from 7th to 12th June 2022 in the Rho Fiera Milano area.
The 60th edition will be celebrated by highlighting the key values of the event: quality, innovation, beauty and – now more than ever – sustainability. The Salone’s ambitious goal is to prove that sustainability and environmental awareness can be combined with the furniture production. Exhibitors have been asked to come up with sustainable ideas, for example by using recyclable or upcycled materials such as wood.
This year’s fair not only will showcase the advancements made by creative designers and brands, but it will also welcome many young talents of the SaloneSatellite. The new generation, who’s experienced the impact of the environmental crisis first hand and has shown to be more green-oriented – stands as hope and main focus of the event.
