One issue that I can't fault the tour guide for was people having conversation and missing key points of information, then asking questions that had already been answered.
A number a people attempted to listen in on the tour, which was aggravating, as the tour wasn't cheap. But the guide politely informed them it was a private tour, once she spotted them.

Sara our Guide was very nice, joyfull and knowledgeable.

We learned that no more than 5 are allowed in 1 Gondola and the route depends from where you literally getting on. As each company has its own restrict

We got the classic Venice gondola experience at a fraction of the cost (in-person it costs ~80 euros, we paid 32 euros per person through Trip Advisor).
Sara the tour guide (a Venetian native) did an incredible job - she was extremely kind and educated. She provided the the first half of the tour (a walking guided tour that gave a brief history of Venice and the historical significance of gondolas). Not only did she share a lot of information, but she did it fluently in 2 different languages (English and Spanish).
The gondola ride was a nice and leisurely, and just the right amount of time you'd want to spend in a boat (I think any longer than 30 minutes starts to be a bit too much). Awesome experience, highly recommend. read less

Roughly a quarter the price of the standard gondola tariffs seen throughout the city, and a great way to experience something unique to Venice.

Although we had already done one guided walk (including a gondola ride) we decided to take up the offer of a rescheduled walk and we were glad we did. Both were excellent, however this walk took us into areas less visited and our guide was very informative. She took us to cat book shop and Museum of Fortuny, both places which sadly we didn’t have time to visit properly but would definitely do so next time. We would certainly recommend this walk as a great introduction to places to return to and to the history of Venice. read less

The water was really high and they were doing everything in their power to get us out on a gondola. But the experience itself was not the best because of the high tide.
Also we were on a boat with another couple and I presumed we’d have a boat to ourselves. So that was a little awkward.
The water was so high that they couldn’t go into any of the canals so we were all clustered together with about 30 other gondolas in the grand canal. We went out did a small loop and came right back.
Again, not their fault. But in my opinion it should have either been cancelled or postponed due to the uncommon water conditions.
The guide who led us to the entrance was very nice but we also got led on about a mile walk to find a place that was low enough to get in the gondolas.
Al in all, I think they did the best they could with the circumstances and I would recommend the company to others! But do be aware you’ll be in the boat with strangers. read less

Venice really is a must visit place, BUT to really see it fully and explore on foot you need more than a couple of days We spent 5 days in Venice which most people say you don’t need that long, we’ll o can honestly say... read moreWe spent 5 days in Venice which most people say you don’t need that long, we’ll o can honestly say I think you do, you can walk and walk or water taxi to so many amazing places in Venice, little squares beautiful buildings, churches, bridges, it really is the most amazing city, although make sure your phones charged and you use maps on it, I have never been down as many alley ways and dead ends in my life, I think we walked everywhere in Venice and we had lunch and dinner in places we just dropped in on as we walked, usually as we entered a square, I loved Venice and as a go to place on anyone’s bucket list a must do place to visit, but don’t do it on a cruise ship for a day or even two days, take the time out and explore at a leisurely pace, stop and relax and grab a beer or a glass of wine in a local square, yes St Marks and the Basilica are amazing as are the costs to eat and drink around there, but venture out San Polo, Dorsoduro it is an amazing city, but like I said, a maps app on your phone and good walking shoes or trainers and an appetite for amazing Italian food 👍 read less

As the price I paid was well above the €100 for an evening slot which was offered on the day.
I was also asked as soon as I got in the gondola, if I wanted to pay €50 more to go under the Rialto bridge, which we declined, obviously, as that is extortionate on top of the already paid price.
However, due to the weather and forecast thunder, our gondola ride was cut short about 25mins long in total. Because of this I requested a partial refund, of which I then received a few days later. Which made me feel a lot better about the experience.
This basically meant in the end I still paid over the nose for the experience, but unlike most I did obtain useful information about the surroundings from the gondolier, and he did seem more capable than many others on the canal. For example, no queuing, crashing or sharp turns, and due to the quieter route the boat didn’t rock as much as we saw others do on the grand canal.
All in all, if you want a quiet romantic ride down the small intimate canals and the grand canal, then this is for you. But this ride does not include any major tourist destinations, and is 30mins not 30-45 as described. read less

However, if you want to book this activity please consider that you are indeed only 5 in a gondola, but for the rest you are part of a touristic mass organisation. It is not a relaxing or intimate activity. The introduction takes place with appr. 50 people, devided in 2 groups of appr. 25 people. In order to know in which boat you have to take place, you are asked to put a sticker on your coat with a number. For the introduction each of the 2 groups contain people speaking different languages, so you always have to wait until the explanation is done in your language. read less

Challenging to find the stand to redeem online vouchers for tickets, instructions appear clear however it is a busy place and the ‘stand’ was not obvious.
It’s also not clear who you are traveling with or the departure point.
I found the boat and depart point through luck or we would have missed the trip.
The itinerary for the tour is good and well worth the visit.
It would be beneficial however to have an itinerary to confirm how long the stay on each island is to allow time for refreshments/ lunch which would fit perfectly if we had been told before hand.
For added excitement thread passengers were left at the second island and had to catch up the tour by private water taxi.
The islands, are well worth the trip. Glass blowing demo on Murano interesting but as usual exit via the gift shop.
In sum good but could be improved with better communication and easier ticket collection. read less

The other days I visited a variety of the palazzi, Grimini, Ca’ d’oro, the Peggy Guggenheim (definitely over rated), the Byzantine icon Museum, the Correr, the exhibit on Carpaccio, the secreti tour of the Palazzo ducale, the Academia, plus a few churches…. read less

When we arrived, the groups and numbering system were organized and we boarded our gondola within five minutes. While walking, the tour guide's microphone didn't properly work and therefore I couldn't hear the entire commentary. I loved this quick tour because it allowed us to do more in our day. It was a nice time to unwind for 30 minutes and take lots of pictures on the canal! Our gondola operator was very skilled but didn't talk as much. Overall, totally worth it! read less

However, I was really worried if she could since she’s handicap & walks with a cane (she’s 74 yrs young) but two gentlemen from the company helped her get on. One kept the boat steady and held her and the other was on the boat holding her as she was getting on. They made sure she was steady and was able to sit comfortably. I cannot be appreciative enough because they literally made my mother’s dream come true!! Thank you so much!! The ride was smooth… he pointed out key points along the ride. We booked the skip-the-line tickets from Venice Tours including a colorful guide.
Upon arrival, there was indeed a big queue but I think the additional fee we had to pay to skip the line was too high.
We had to wait in line for the booth to pick up our tickets. It stated on the website we would receive a brochure. The lady at the booth informed us we could either get a brochure or use an online app. Unfortunately, we didn't know we had this option so make sure you have phones for everyone including earphones (we didn't) plus a charger because the app drains your battery. Make sure you download the app immediately next to the booth in order to benefit from the wifi. The app itself offered quite interesting background information. In the palace there are signs but they only give limited information (different from the app).
We enjoyed visiting it on our own. read less

There are four of us -- two adults, and two tween/teen girls (ages 12 and 14). I wasn't sure how the girls would feel about basically a craft project, but they loved it. Even moreso, my partner who was skeptical walked away really thrilled with the experience and our final results. (As he just said, "Write in the review that the dad even loved this!")
This family-owned shop has amazing masks on display. We had a ton of blank mask options to choose from, and then our instructor offered suggestions on how to decide where to add our colors. After a couple of rounds of painting, all while learning more about Venice and mask-making, he added amazing accents to each mask.
Our masks look like works of art thanks to his finishing touches, and they are proudly on display at home now that we've returned.
This is an experience we would definitely recommend! read less
