The 104th edition of the Corsa Rosa will start on Saturday 8 May 2021. The race will start in Turin, on the 160th anniversary of Italy’s unification.

21 stages along 3,450 kilometres, 47,000 metres of total elevation gain across Italy’s great mountains, landscapes, villages and cities: these are some of the ingredients that make the Giro d’Italia one of the most characteristic sporting competitions of the Bel Paese, which sees the best big names in international cycling compete.

After three stages in Piedmont, the passage in Emilia-Romagna, then the Marche (the sixth stage will start from the spectacular Frasassi Caves), Puglia, Campania, Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany to return to Emilia in the second week. In memory of Dante Alighieri, to celebrate the 700th anniversary of his death, we’ll see the passage to Ravenna where the Supreme Poet is buried; then Verona which will be the start of the races in the great mountains.

The grand finale will be on Sunday 30 May, featuring an individual 29.4km time trial that will start from Senago and finish at Milan’s Duomo.
